Meet the women of Chandu Village, Gurugram, Haryana. Mobilized under the ZingnZest Project, these women have been trained to become micro-entrepreneurs in the food processing industry.

Zingnzest
is an innovative initiative of ACCESS that seeks to empower 200 women from low
income households and provide them with sustainable aspirational employment opportunities.
Under this program, the rural women are producing healthy snacks to cater to
modern palates. Implemented in NCR of Delhi, the program is supported by CITI Foundation.
Zingnzest
is incubated by ACCESS as a Social Enterprise owned and managed by these rural
women entrepreneurs. The company is designed as a ‘hub and spoke model’ where the women are organized
into 20 small Enterprise Groups (EGs) of average 10 members each across rural Gurugram
area and are supported by a Hub for multi-pronged marketing/ branding/ sales linkages.It
is benefiting women from low-income households
and create an impact by developing their potential in food processing. s. A total 56 women prospective
entrepreneurs were mobilized in the first phase of the project. The culinary skills of these women
entrepreneurs, through a structured program, are further refined and honed for
their commercial benefits.
